23 year-old Belfast-born Jenna has been writing songs for years now, finding in Controller her songwriting niche as well as a penchant for onstage head-banging. She knows only how to write about subjects she has experienced personally, take it as either a strength or a weakness, and puts a unique female touch on a significantly male-dominated rock genre. Pop influences from the 90s have bled into her songs, making them undeniably memorable, with her true-to-life soaring vocal range and honest delivery adding an authenticity that is nearly always lacking from mainstream pop music.
Louis Newell - Guitarist
With a passion for everything impressive on the guitar, Newell is what makes the overall Controller sound so massive. Pedals up to his eyeballs and more amps than you could throw you could throw a stick at, Louis' sound is like no one elses. Playing the instrument for most of his life, performance climaxes now see his fingers become a blur over the fretboard, with a never-ending wave of effected sound passing over the audience.
Ethan Maltby - Bassist
Ethan's sound is a dirty one, holding the band together with a series of crunching slides and vigorously tugged basslines that all go on under a sea of hair. Underneath lies an equally talented composer, whos works have been played and performed all over the world, from Wembley Stadium and Glastonbury all the way to Croatia and Korea. As the bands arranger and orchestrator of strings, Maltby's contribution to the Controller sound is invaluable.
Paul Townsend - Drums
Don't be fooled by his kind-hearted demeanour, this man can play the drums meaner than most, with a technique that has rarely been rivalled. A true musician, Townsend's flair for 'feel' and live improvisation is what makes his performances really special, an element that the band has strived to, and successfully, captured in the recording studio.
